Happy New Year from every one at JYM Partnership
2007
was an exceptional year for us, we continued our steady growth in business and in employee numbers. As part of our ongoing development we also achieved certification in ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) to supplement our existing ISO 9001:2000 (QA) and Investors In People certifications. The new certifications coincided with the completion of our new offices which we occupied in late November. We are now in a position to move forward and continue growing into 2008. |

2007 also saw the completion of a number of projects either designed or managed by our professional teams.
Three projects which are of major significance are the Manchester Civil Justice Centre and Loughborough Magistrates Courts where JYM were appointed project managers by Her Majesty's Court Service and the new regional office for the Land Registry in Croydon. |

| The Manchester Civil Justice Centre is the second largest Court Centre in the Country after the Royal Courts of Justice in London. The Lord Chancellor when initiating this project requested that the building be of European Significance, this was achieved following an international design competition which was won by the architects Denton Corker Marshal from Australia. The building was constructed by Bovis Lend Lease at a construction cost of around £100M. | ![]() |

Loughborough Magistrates Courts occupies a prime central location in Loughborough and brings to the town a much needed improved facility. The development contains a mixture of youth and adult courts together with ancillary office and custody facilities. The court was procured as a private developer scheme with William Davis acting as the developer teamed with Wilmot Dixon as their contractors. Handover was completed in December and is hoped to commence sittings in early 2008. | ||
| Croydon Land Registry based in the centre of Croydons CBD the new regional office has been designed to a high standard to reflect The Land Registry’s requirement to provide quality but sustainable properties. The office is a mixture of natural and mechanical ventilation and utilises the exposed concrete floor soffit to provide natural cooling. The offices contain a restaurant and fitness centre for private employee use. The building was constructed by ING developments and purchased by The Land Registry. The Princess Royal has been invited to formally open the building in Spring 2008. | |||
